Zach Moss
Zach is the Head Coach of the Northwestern Varsity Team. He has been involved in the sport as an athlete, coach, and referee for over 27 years. As Head Coach at Northwestern, he has helped lead the Wildcats to two Conference Championships, two top-8 finishes at NCAA Championships, and 6 All-Americans.
Dennis Kolakowski
Dennis is the assistant coach of the Northwestern Fencing team. Prior to working with NU, Dennis owned and operated Kolakowski Sabre Academy developing Sabre in non-traditional areas in the Northeast, and was the Sabre Coach at Vassar College. In his 20+ year coaching career, Dennis has produced numerous high-level athletes and has both coached and refereed internationally.
Alisha Gomez-Shah
Alisha is a former sabre fencer for Northwestern University, a 3 time-NCAA competitor, and an All-American. Alisha has been fencing for over 15 years and coaching with Wildcat Fencing for the last 3 years. Currently, Alisha is the Director of Operations for the Northwestern Varsity Team. Alisha has a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration and Policy from Northwestern.
